I mean seriously – where has the year gone? I know it’s a cliché but this year really does seem like it only just started!

A huge amount has happened in the world of Elizabeth Andrews in 2021 which has set us up for what promises to be an outstanding 2022.

As the restrictions in Victoria relax, we are finding that we’re being inundated with inquiries for catering and parties for the new year.

Despite COVID, our team has grown with additional members in production, despatch and customer service. Not an easy feat during a pandemic with countless lockdowns and restrictions so we would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU for supporting our business and sharing your catering journey with us in 2021.

What's On In Melbourne: Christmas Special

Christmas Cinema:
Saturday 11th and 18th December

Argyle Square’s Christmas makeover (dotted with nutcracker soldiers, pretty festive lights, and even an icicle throne) makes it the perfect spot for a balmy evening movie and picnic with provisions from Lygon Street’s famous delis, restaurants and gelateria. Some bean bags and deck chairs will be available, or BYO picnic gear for the best spot. Film screening starts at 8.30pm.

Gingerbread Village:
Till Friday 24th December

Sugar, spice and all things nice – Epicure’s Gingerbread Village has a new home on Level 4 of Emporium. Over 600kg of gingerbread, 460kg of royal icing and 200kg of marzipan has been lovingly sculpted into some of Melbourne’s most iconic landmarks.

Melbourne Town Hall Christmas Projections:
Till Saturday 25th December

Let it glow! The city’s famous Christmas projections are back at Melbourne Town Hall with five gorgeous adornments, complete with a countdown to Christmas clock. Make it a night to remember and visit the projections at Chapter House Lane and Hamer Hall too.

Food Tip

When making a large Christmas roast, the stress point tends to be making last-minute gravy. To rid yourself of this, make a gravy ahead and freeze it. No-one will be any the wiser and the gravy is likely to be tastier if made with care and patience, rather than whilst trying to do three other things at the same time!
