A years worth of rewards is just
around the corner!

This year (2016) we launched our desk calendar which quadrupled as a compendium of all things Melbourne, a recipe book, a voucher book chock full of free stuff and a loyalty program all in one! It’s been such an astounding success that we have just put the finishing touches to the 2017 version (pictured above) which is bigger and better than ever.

We’ll take delivery of these calendars over the next month and distribute them to you with orders from November onwards as well as send them to you on request.

We’re proudly Melbourne and love to celebrate anything that our great city has to offer. We also love working with our loyal customers and want to reward you for sticking with us so it’s great to see there are so many people who have consistently ordered through the course of 2016 and because of that, you’ll receive half price catering for the month of January up to a list price of $1,000.

What’s On in Melbourne in October?

Melbourne Festival
Thu 6th October to Sun 23rd October

Melbourne Festival is one of Australia’s flagship international arts festivals and one of the major multi arts festivals of the world. The festival proudly offers a wide variety of venues and ticket prices, plus many free events.

Melbourne Marathon
Sun 16th October

While it’s probably a little too late to enter the full marathon, depending on your level of fitness there may still be the opportunity to enter the half marathon, the 10k run, the 5.7k run or even the 3k walk. There’s literally something for everyone.

Outside the Box
Mon 3rd October to Fri 28th October

This exhibition is unlike any other, all artists are placed on a level playing field, no matter their status, experience, style or technique. Each creative will have exactly 8 hours to create their work within the confinements of the gallery, utilising only the materials provided to them culminating with the exhibition opening on the 28th of October.

Thank goodness for that – it’s over. I mean Winter of course……..

For me, Winter finishes when the strip of snow running down the middle of Bourke St at Mt Buller is too skinny to turn on. For others it’s the Grand Final. Another giveaway that Winter is a thing of the past is the stunning Tesselaar Tulip Festival in the Dandenongs. I always try and visit to get my fix of the aromas of Spring and the remarkable array of flora that it a sign of things to come (regrettable this year I have not made the pilgrimage).

Next step in the smorgasbord of Spring colour that Melbourne has to offer is the Spring racing carnival and the flowers at Flemington.

There’s no doubt that around October, Melbourne has a feeling of shaking it’s weary head, dusting off the Winter blues and throwing itself headlong into a Spring and Summer of events and festivals that is the envy of many a city around the world. Congratulations to all those passionate people who involve themselves in the organization of such events.

From a business point of view, I love to see the sensational local produce that we may not have been able to get our hands on during Winter, suddenly start to become available and incorporated into our daily offerings.

Isn’t it fantastic to be part of the world’s most liveable city – Melbourne?

Cooking Tip

To revive day-old muffins, sprinkle them with water, place in a paper bag, and pop in a hot oven for 5 to 10 seconds. The steam created by the water will restore moisture. (PS. We make our muffins daily so we’d never actually do this)

Your Say

Hi there,

Thanks again for another amazing spread last week. This was the largest crowd I have needed catering for which was very unexpected. Tom was very understanding with my ever changing catering numbers. The food was delicious and the amount of food was spot on! Thanks again,
