A good hot dog never goes out of style. There’s something comforting and familiar about a flavour packed hot dog and a number of our regular customers have recently been asking if we can offer a Mini Gourmet Hot Dog as part of our menu. So...of course we have listened and here it is.

Your Mini Gourmet Hot Dog is delivered COLD in an easy to eat soft bun, filled with a lightly spiced Kransky sausage, onion relish and mustard. Normally $4.50 per item, for this week only, they are selling for half price at $2.25! If you’d like to enjoy them hot, they only take 30 seconds in the microwave!

To make the most of this special offer place your order during the week of the 29th of February - 4th of March and receive 50% off, regardless of when you actually want to enjoy your mini hot dogs. We recommend one mini hot dog, a round of sandwiches and some fruit for a satisfying lunch.

Your Say

Dear Elizabeth Andrews Catering Team

I know my order today was quite demanding. Our visitors had very specific catering requirements, and I just want to say a huge thank you.

The feedback from our guests was excellent. All the food was delicious and disappeared quickly. Our highly allergic visitor was most appreciative.

Thank you for your excellent service.

Kind Regards,

Jenny

Welcome

Annette and Me

Two years ago I was racing into my local milkbar to grab some milk when I came across a middle-aged women sitting on a park bench crying. I stopped in my tracks and thought this is not good. Should I say something? It was then I realised that I knew this woman. She was the local lolly-pop lady and assisted the kids across the road on their way to school each day. Every day I made a point of waving to her as I drove past and she cheerily waved back. It had become our daily routine. We had never spoken, but we shared a smile and a wave every day for years, which always brightened my day.

It turns out her name was Annette and she was crying because of money troubles coupled with a big serve of self-doubt. Something we all have from time to time. I needed time to think, so I went in to grab the milk, and by the time I came out, I had come up with a plan. “Let’s have lunch together”, I said, “my shout, and you can tell me your story and I’ll tell you mine. Maybe I can help.”

“But, you don’t even know Me.” she said. “Of course I do. I wave to you every day and you wave back.” She smiled, “I would really like to have lunch”, she said. So that was then and now we have been good friends for two years.

Annette has learning challenges, poor working memory, hated school and has a long history of being put down and made to feel incompetent… but she is one of the best things that has happened to me. She has a generous spirit, is funny, caring and good company. She helps me and I help her and together we are both making steady progress. That’s what good friends are for and we met all because she was having a bad day. It seems unlikely friendships can be found in unlikely circumstances. Make time to catch up with your good friends this March.

Best Wishes,

Cooking Tip

Stop cheese from drying out by spreading butter or margarine on the cut sides to seal in moisture. This is most effective with hard cheeses sealed in wax.
